General informations:

All our hotel rooms are non-smoking and can be reached comfortably with the floor lift. On request and subject to availability, we will gladly reserve a room with a view of Banz Monastery for you, just let us know your wishes when booking!

Location:

Our house is located in the middle of nature, at the foot of the Banzberg with a magnificent view of Banz Monastery. For excursions to nearby sights such as the Staffelberg, Vierzehnheiligen and Banz Monastery, our hotel is the perfect starting point. Or enjoy a wellness weekend in the Obermain - Therme, the warmest and strongest thermal brine in Bavaria.

Checking-in and checking-out:

Your room is available from 14.00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure we ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 am. Our reception is only open until 18.00, if you arrive after 18.00 we ask you to call us.

To our animal friends:

In the interest of all guests, we can only accept a limited number of dogs. Please let us know when making your reservation if you would like to bring your four-legged friend (dog EUR 10.00 per day). Please note that dogs are not allowed in our breakfast room.

Charging station for electric cars:

You are welcome to charge your electric car at our charging station (directly at the hotel) for a fee.

Restaurant:

Currently we can open the kitchen in our mountain inn unfortunately only Sunday noon for you. In our parent house "Hotel-Restaurant Erich Rödiger" in Bad Staffelstein (5 minutes away by car) the restaurant is open for you from Tuesday to Saturday evening. As our house guests we will gladly reserve a table for you for dinner, choose from our different half board menus:

              3-course gourmet choice menu EUR 27.50 per person / day.
              2-course gourmet choice menu EUR 22.00 per person / day.

Sauna and parking tax:

Starting from the 1st of July 2015 / 1st of March 2016, the new legislation in relation to the statutory tax rate will come into effect which will see the 19% VAT charged on sauna and parking services (instead of the 7% charged up to that point). This also applies to the sauna and parking services which we offer in our hotel. For this reason, (as is also the case with breakfast), use of the sauna and parking will listed separately on your hotel bill and charged with 19% VAT; it will also no longer be possible to include this as a share of the overnight stay. This is also the case even if the guest does not use the sauna or parking. On your hotel bill you will now find the position “Business-Package”, which includes breakfast, use of the sauna and parking and this is subject to the 19% VAT rate. We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter!

Payment:

You can pay your entire bill using either your EC card, credit card or in cash.

Booking and making reservations:

The confirmed check-in and check-out day are equally binding for both the hotel and hotel guest. The following cancellation terms and conditions apply to room and package bookings (if there is no other agreement):

• Bookings for 1-2 nights can be cancelled free of charge up to 6 p.m. on the day of arrival.
• Bookings for 3-6 nights can be cancelled free of charge up to 3 days before the day of arrival.
• Bookings for 7-13 nights can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before the day of arrival.
• Bookings for 14 nights or more can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before the day of arrival.

We reserve the right to charge 80% of the booking price for late cancellations or early departure. Please make your cancellations in writing (by fax, email or post). Special cancellation terms and conditions apply to trade fair and event dates as well as Easter and New Year’s Eve. We also recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. 90% of the total amount will be charged in the event of no shows.
